We went house-hunting today with our agent Phil. We found several townhomes in Gaithersburg that we liked. One in particular. So, we said yes. We said we want it.
We're going to put a bid on a townhouse.
It's in Gaithersburg. Laytonia Drive. Full townhouse. Three bedrooms. Gas heat. Full washer/dryer unit. Big kitchen. Fenced in front yard. Back yard. And they're asking 225K. The family wants to move quickly and will probably accept a lesser offer. And no, there's nothing wrong with it. It has only been on the market for a day, and we were the very first people to look at it. I think the outdated, unattractive outside architecture may work to our advantage -- we don't mind it, but other prospective buyers may be turned off by it. Gods, I want this house. It's almost perfect. If it had a basement, it would be perfect, but this is good enough. This is something we can live in for five years and sell and buy a bigger house.
I want this house. Adam wants this house. Phil will place the bid for us tomorrow, starting at 210K, and see how far the sellers want to go.
Just... cross your fingers. Pray for us?
