The radiator in Adam's car is shot. He needs to get it replaced. He can afford it, but it'll be tight until his next paycheck. And my paycheck, coming on Friday, will need to go to the rest of this month's bills. So we'll both be living sparse for the next two weeks or so. It's fine. As long as bills are paid and food is in the kitchen. However, it caused enough stress and worry that he was tossing and turning all night. Naturally, I also stressed and worried, and because I start my menses today, I had a seizure while tossing and turning, which I will expand on later, because it needs to be recorded and filed. We didn't get much sleep, and still had to get up at 5:30.
The big green van, given to us by Adam's mother, is the backup vehicle, used to move large things, since the back seats are gone and it's essentially a former delivery van. Adam has been letting Jason use it to get to work and class and occasional house errands, but we don't like having to use it for every day driving too much. It's clunky and very old and prone to problems. But Adam doesn't have much choice. He couldn't drive it into DC since it's too big, so we drove it to the Shady Grove metro station, and for the first time in almost three years, Adam rode the train with me. We got off at Dupont Circle and I walked with him to the Hilton. I then walked back and finished my own train ride to Gallery Place. We'll most likely meet back up at Dupont Circle at the end of the day. Adam hopes to limp the car to a repair shop tomorrow. He would prefer to take it to Joey, Billy's best friend, who is a skilled mechanic and may give Adam a better price. But we don't know how busy Joey will be. Hope with me that everything will be all right. My mood is raw today.
