I've got a love duck now
I welcome March with cautious optimism. Sort of like approaching a beautiful feral cat that wandered into the neighborhood. Do I give it food or do I just let it go hunt birds?
Adam had the day off after returning from New Jersey. So we went to the Safeway in the shopping center with the Krispy Kreme factory. On the way out of the Safeway, I stopped at the toy vending machines, because one machine had little plastic ducks with symbols painted on the ducks' chests. I put my seventy-five cents in and wound up with a Love Duck, a yellow duck with a red beak and a red heart. Adam and I began to drive past the Krispy Kreme, thought about going in, then decided that no, the light was not on and therefore there would be no hot, fresh, drug-glazed doughnuts yet. We would be doughnut snobs. I and my love duck shun your cold doughnuts!
Now we are home, eating pistachios.
