Same here. I never expected to honestly fall in love with this cartoon; it stunned me. And so I assumed the worst about half the fandom, because I know people are enema douchebags
Complicating things is the nature of the malicious Internet beast; blowing things out of proportion sparks outrage, whether or not such events occur.
Yup. And I'm sure terrible things like that happened at other "brony" conventions and meetings, but this is the first I've heard. And whether or not it's true or embellished, these things do actually happen. I guarantee that adult fans of Dora The Explorer have these issues we well (and I know they exist because I met a bunch!)
