welcomed home
Dec. 9th, 2006 12:27 pmI went to bed at midnight. I slept deeply. Just before 4:30 in the morning, I was woken up by a person crawling on the bed toward me. I opened my eyes. He was a shadow lowering over me, and it wasn't until he kissed me, hard and deep, that my dream-shaken, sleepy brain registered that I was awake, and my husband was kissing me.
The kiss went on forever. It was long and it was sweet and it was heated, and I held him and held him and though, yes, yes, this is good. And he took off his clothes without stopping the kiss, and he took off my clothes, and then clothing was on the floor, and I welcomed Adam home.
We slept on until 10:30. Jupiter had been waking us up for a while. We got dressed. He made me an egg and cheese on wheat toast and fed me real fresh Florida grove oranges, and a piece of packaged alligator jerky (last time he went away, he brought home emu jerky). Now, we are waiting for Burt, a family friend who handles the car insurance, to come over so I can write a check for the insurance down payment for the big green van (we did Adam's white Neon in October). And then we'll spend the day together until Dan and Jason come home from New York after seeing the New Model Army concert in New Jersey, and Beca and James come down as well, and then we'll all go see New Model Army in DC tonight.
I am feeling much better. My sinuses have been draining, and my head is clearer.
