Luna and Jupiter have been akin to live television these past few days. She is really showing her balls, so to speak (now that Jupiter has none, ha ha). I am no longer worried about Jupiter being a "dominant fierce male." In fact, I am extremely amused by how the tables have been turned so quickly. Luna had established herself as young queen, and she has been happily kicking Jupiter's ball-less ass. They have been chasing each other nonstop. She is too fast for him. He cannot catch her, he cannot tag her -- but she will tag him. She will play hide and seek. She will make him cry out looking for her. It may be some time before they are up to laying together, grooming and cuddling. Luna seems to be all about playtime. She is at the age. Jupiter is just shy of a year, and neutered, so he will get bigger, but without testosterone he will probably become significantly calmer. This will be fun to watch, at any rate.

Dinner is leftovers: Eggplant mixed with sesame seeds, and Adam's meatloaf inspired by my mother's recipe -- which he seems to have surpassed (meat, eggs, bread crumbs, fresh garlic, fresh tomatoes, ketchup, chopped onions, and orange juice).

I saw the first episode of "The Tudors" last night. Several good things: Lots of tasteful sex and delectable female nudity. Jonathan Rhys Meyers, who plays Henry: he is officially on my List Of Celebrities To Have Sex With, although I have yet to tell my husband this. Also, Natalie Dormer, who plays Anne Boleyn: also officially on my list. It took me a while to recognize her as a brunette.

Dan has downloaded all the episodes of "Rome" of which are up to the eighth episode. Also much sex and nudity, but not as ... pretty ... as "Tudors".

And here we have a list of all the human foods and drinks Luna has taken upon herself to taste since we got her:

Steak.
Pork.
Crispy bacon.
Turkey.
Roast chicken.
Roast beef.
Smoked oysters in oil.
Meatloaf.
Eggplant.
Very spicy chicken wings.
Celery.
Carrots.
Ranch dressing.
Green olives.
Strawberries.
Broccoli.
Raw cucumber.
Mozzarella cheese.
Apple slices.
Peanut butter.
Beer.
Wine.
Orange juice.
Red tea and green tea.
Whole milk.
Coffee with sweetened condensed milk.

I have been feeding her Pro Plan dry kitten food and Innova canned food, both of which she inhales with gusto. But I have never seen a cat attempt to eat so many different human foods. We do not allow her to take from our plates -- if she seems overly interested in a food, we take a small piece and put it on a napkin and put the napkin on the floor. She will lick the piece of food to see if she really likes it. If she eats it, fine; if not, we throw it out. We try not to let her sample beverages, except for an occasional tiny taste of milk. The reason those drinks are on the list is because I did not catch her in time. She rather enjoyed the wine, surprisingly. It was a fruity wine.
I have suspicions that we will have one very healthy growing cat on our hands, a cat who is willing to eat pretty much anything you give her. This means we can feed her "human quality" food and healthy things aside from regular cat food.
