Shh, Sunday
Oct. 21st, 2007 01:29 pmAt five this morning, the alarm went off. Since Adam sleeps like the dead, I shook him and nudged him until he got up. He left about half an hour later, kissing me, and I went back to sleep and had intense dreams, until about one in the afternoon. I woke up in pain, which has been the usual thing for the past year or so. Turned on the TV, watched the Food Network while I got dressed. Went downstairs, made myself a two-egg omelette with shredded mozzarella and green olives, with a generous shake of garlic powder and black and red pepper. Then I microwaved four strips of bacon until they were crisp and almost blackened. I am still watching the Food Network.
I have no idea what I will do today. Clean up the living room, of course, give myself a facial with Vicki's products and a pomegranate-sugar scrub I got from Ulta. Maybe make a honey mask. Oh, hey, Vicki, that's what you should make: a facial scrub and mask.
I may or may not go to the Whole Foods on Rockville Pike for a tube of Jason Natural Sea Fresh Toothpaste, as well as the tiny nail salon next to the Giant for eyebrow waxing. Today is a Me Day. It's a beautiful, sunny seventy-seven degrees outside, and the rain that finally fell the other day was much needed.
