Sleeping In Light
Feb. 10th, 2008 12:58 pmAdam came home as I was preparing to watch the Babylon 5 series finale, "Sleeping In Light." I was lying on the couch, he was sitting in one of the reclining chairs. During the "brighest star in my sky" scene, I lost it and began sobbing openly. Adam got up, came over, knelt down, and put his head on my collarbone and hugged me, and we stayed like that for a while.
Damn it, JMS, make me cry like someone is dying, why don't you. Oh, wait.
Later, in bed, we held each other, and Adam whispered, "Goodnight, my love... the brightest star in my sky." And I whispered, paraphrasing, "Goodnight, you, who are my sky, and my sun, and my moon."
Yeah, we're sappy romantics, we are.
And while I am on the subject, happy anniversary to Beca and James, the loveliest married couple around! *cheers*
For breakfast, I am finishing the garlic bread that I had ordered with dinner last night. Someone had eaten my entire box of cheesy garlic bread, which annoyed me for a bit, until I got out the shredded mozzarella cheese and the SmartBalance butter. I made my own cheesy garlic bread, with better tasting butter and more cheese. It is very tasty.
Adam is working with NASA today. NASA is one of his company's biggest and most important clients. They always need computers and equipment. And speaking of that, who saw the Atlantis shuttle lauch last week? It was gorgeous.
