New York Pizza
Mar. 12th, 2008 09:15 pmI'm eating New York City pizza.
From New York City.
Adam bought an entire cheese pizza and a Sicilian pizza from Patzeria Perfect Pizza, Pasta & Grill, on W. 46th Street, between Broadway and 8th Avenue, in the heart of Manhattan's Hotel and Theater District, near Times Square. He asked the owner, Joey (they became friends), to only partially bake the pizza, so Adam could have it made to travel from New York to Maryland and could reheat it at home.
Adam came home this evening with the pizzas, and we heated them in the oven, and then Charlotte and Billy came over, and I'm on my second slice, and it's wonderful.
There's something about New York pizza that I cannot get anywhere else. The dough, which is just crunchy enough. The tomato sauce, just sweet enough. The cheese, just gooey enough. My gods, it's heaven, and it is so worth this.
