We interrupt this regularly scheduled blog for a loud, headdesking bulletin.

Dear People On The Internet:
STOP ABUSING APOSTROPHES. PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY, THINK OF THE POOR APOSTROPHES.

Seriously, things like this make me weep openly. Well, for the other obvious reasons, yes, but still.

(and, to offer another view, here's another painful example:

I am a 6th generation bloodline witch and adore Vampire's. I have several children of the night visit me. Elegant, romantic, you may lose your very soul with just a glance into their eyes. I am at my very best in the darkness, under the moonlit sky, doing my rite's and ritual's along with my potion's and spell's handed down since the burning time's. I am searching for my soul mate who shall dance skyclad with me around the sacred fire under the star's. Wanna come play with the right witch? Cauldron is simmering. I am very political, I have become addicted to CNN, I also am a very proud member of the Michigan Militia Wolverine's as well as the Civil Protection Corps which I am the Commander. I work with Homeland Security and prepare citizen's in case of an attack both forigen and domestic. I have worked in Mental Health 22 years, I also am an Alch and Subs abuse counselor as well as an Ordained Pagan Minister. Please, become involved in your community, its up to you to make a stand and now is it.

Oh, my grammar skills. Ow.)

PLURAL WORDS DO NOT NEED APOSTROPHES. PROPER GRAMMAR SKILLS, LET ME SHOW YOU THEM. FOR FUCK'S SAKE. WHEN DID THIS BECOME A TREND? MAKE IT STOP, OH GODS, MAKE IT STOP. AAAAAARRRGGGHHH.

*gasp gasp breathe meditate calm*

Thank you. Carry on.

I've been browsing around for articles and studies about the use of Trileptal (oxcarbazepine) for fibromyalgia. I was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2006. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2007. I was taking Trileptal for a year and a half before I was diagnosed with fibro, although the fibro symptoms started six months after the epilepsy diagnosis.
I've suddenly realized that I wouldn't want to know how my fibromyalgia flares might be if I were not taking oxcarbazepine.

Oxcarbazepine has not yet been proven to be an effective treatment for anything other than epilepsy, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, and mood disorders. However, it is sometimes prescribed off-label for chronic pain and nerve pain. Recently, the epilepsy drug Lyrica was officially given the go-ahead to treat fibromyalgia, so it stands to reason that similar drugs would be put to rigorous testing, with the same idea.

Several drugs prescribed for epilepsy have been shown to be effective for treating fibromyalgia. The central nervous system is so damn fascinating.
I do know that if I forget to take a dose or two of oxcarbazepine, my fibro pain gets worse. I will ponder this.

I expect Trileptal and other epilepsy drugs to be approved for official fibromyalgia treatment within a few years, now that fibromyalgia is really being taken seriously.

Oh, and the Soma just kicked in. I'm going to dance around my living room for a while. Because I can (if you know me, you'll get it).
