Almost Done
Dec. 31st, 2008 05:31 pmIt is shaping up to become a quietly enjoyable evening.
My office closed two hours early. Adam had the day off, and Charlotte was already at the house when I came home. Billy arrived shortly after. Adam had rearranged the den a bit and brought the television from the dining room up. Two televisions, two game systems, two laptops. Snacks, drinks, dinner, coffee, alcohol. I gave the cats a treat along with their canned food (they get canned food on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays).
I go back to work on Friday; normally the firm lists the day after New Year's as a holiday, but the DC office traded in January 2nd this year for January 20th, claiming it as a "local holiday" since the city will be flooded with people for Obama's inauguration. Smart move.
