Watching... oh, hell every channel is broadcasting it. But we are currently watching CNN.
Me, a few seconds ago: "YIPE. OH GOOD GODS, THOSE ARE ALL PEOPLE. LOOK AT THAT HOLY SHIT."

They're everywhere.
And this is just what is along the Mall, never mind the parade route.

Now all we need is Michael Buffer with "Live from the Capitol Hill in Washington DC, for the millions in attendance and the millions watching around the world! Ladies and Gentlemen, let's get ready to inaugurate!"

And really, people, can we give George W. Bush a break this one time, on this one day? He's about to go away for good. His cat died and nobody cared. He's been a horrible president, but he's a person. Mr. Bush, I hope you have a good life, and I am sorry about your cat.

As Bush walked out, Adam started playing New Model Army's You Weren't There.

So.

Futurama Episode Transcript: A Taste Of Freedom

Freedom, freedom, freedom, oy, Freedom, freedom, freedom, oy?

Also, Adam played Manowar's Fight For Freedom. It was amusing.

Adam and I went to Charlotte and Billy's house, since they were home as well. Billy had an appointment with the chiropractor today. He and Charlotte took me with them. Dr. Romano gave me an initial exam. We hit it off immediately. He is awesome. He is also a fantastic chiropractor, and I say that honestly. No tricks, no gimmicks. I know many people dislike chiropractors, but this is a rare one. I will be going in on Saturday with Billy and Charlotte, and Dr. Romano will begin to treat me in earnest. He wants to focus on the fibromyalgia and the issues caused by the cerebral palsy. He also approves of all my supplements and he has studied most of them himself. We chatted, we joked, we bantered, we connected. He also revealed my mild scoliosis -- right above the lordosis -- which I hadn't even known about, and which I probably developed recently. One more issue to work with, then.
Dr. Romano is also willing to see me on weekends and nights, for which I am grateful.

(I figured that there is enough Obama love and Obama dislike here, so I'm done talking about it. I see people sick of it, I see people still loving it, I'm still in the middle giggling about the little things. But the amount of hate and love in equal proportions still astounds me. It's either "You're all idiots for liking him" or "You're all idiots for not liking him." So I will be nice and not discuss whether or not I honestly like the new president.)

Ooohh, so that's what that is...
Dr. Romano has a chiropractic water massage table. As part of my initial exam, I was instructed to lay down on said table. Dr. Romano wanted to see how it would affect my tactile allodynia and fibromyalgia in general. I lay down, the table was turned on... and I lost the ability to speak. As wave after wave kneaded every muscle from the back of my neck to the back of my knees, I felt an extreme and violently beautiful rush of... what? I cannot even articulate. Dr. Romano and Charlotte watched me, and the doctor asked if I was all right, if it felt okay. Charlotte explained to him that it takes me a few moments. Finally, I managed to gasp, "Yes, it's fine. I'm good. I'm really good, I... ohhh. Oh, wow. Oh."
Charlotte grinned down at me like a Cheshire Cat and nodded.
My muscles loosened and relaxed completely. No human massage has been able to do this to the extent that the water massage table did. The only drug that has been able to do this is Soma.
I shall be using that table again, oh yes.
The side effect is that I... It is hard to move without stumbling slightly, weaving back and forth. What is this feeling? Oh, yes. Relaxation. Seriously.
Dr. Romano has treated many people with cerebral palsy, and many people with fibromyalgia. As far as the cerebral palsy goes, I have the mildest case he has seen. As far as the fibromyalgia goes, he tells me he can see the source and the symptoms and the surrounding syndromes. He believes he can help me. I believe he can help me.
This is the start of something good. I feel indescribably good.
And hopeful. I am not expecting amazing things. This is chiropractic, controversial. I am not expecting secular miracles. I am just expecting relaxation as I have never experienced relaxation. And some pain relief. *smiles*
