Ah, migraine explosion
Mar. 18th, 2009 02:46 pmMy boss let me go home an hour into my work day. I was that bad. I was shaking. I could barely speak coherently. The right side of my head throbbed and pounded, I was nauseated, lights and sound became magnified, so classic. He told me to get better and that if I was still sick tomorrow I should call him. I told him I would most likely be in tomorrow. I want to go to work tomorrow.
Adam is also home sick. He was so dizzy this morning that he couldn't walk upright without stumbling and experiencing surges of nausea. We are both feeling a little better. I wound up taking a Soma, which means it was serious - I never take Soma during the week unless it is seriously bad. The Soma has relaxed the muscles around my skull enough to make me feel human.
We have just finished breakfast/brunch: the last of the New York City pizza, and a few slices of Acai Berry Whole Grain Bread from Safeway (Eating Right brand) topped with Smart Balance not-butter. My beverage was pure, unsweetened acai juice made from the entire berry with nothing added (Acai Gold by Dynamic Health). I added a few teaspoons of honey powder, because the acai berry is not sweet, and has a very unusual unique taste by itself. Like raw berries blended with bittersweet cocoa and red wine. This is why most acai drinks are sweetened. Not many people can handle the straight berry alone.
Once my head finishes throbbing and throwing me off balance, I will work on the novel for a bit. Perhaps my husband and I will be up for taking a walk, soon, for the fresh air and sunshine. It is beautifully warm and sunny outside.

Guess which essay is my favorite?
(Now I want a time machine. And a lion.)

I was hoping this was a joke.
It is not a joke.
SIGH. (Figh?)
