They have a good point about... everything. But especially about the tender points being somewhat misleading. "Eleven is a totally arbitrary number. There's nothing magical about eleven."*
I was diagnosed quickly, but aside from tender point exams, I had a tenderness exam that included the doctor applying pressure to my distal interphalangeal joint areas and on my forearms.
