My copy of
Ravens In The Library came in the mail today. The one and only thing that dampened my joy and thrill was that I could not fit it in my purse. Devour all at once, then? Or find a larger purse?
I believe I shall devour forthwith.
(I shall put Good Omens in my purse instead).I will start with Shira Lipkin's "Fortune" because, you know, she's Shadesong. Enough said.
Beyond coincidence, I have had SJ Tucker's "We Are Shangri-La" screaming through my mind during the train ride home.
I love Sooj. I love Sooj more now than I loved her a year ago when I first heard her music. In my previous post about Catherynne M. Valente's
Palimpsest I got several comments telling me to listen to SJ Tucker. I have been listening to SJ Tucker for a long time, guys. I could rave about her forever.
I feel quite proud and thrilled to have contributed to saving her health. The world needs musicians and poets like her.
Also... Phil? I completely agree with you about everything you talked about in your introduction. But the state of health care, insurance, and the general cost of life-saving treatments is another rant for another time.
I am now off to write more. Because.
Also, "Heroes" tonight. Yay!
