Sunday Things
Nov. 1st, 2009 04:23 pmThing One: Thank you, Bridgett, for saying that my book is fast-paced, visual, and engaging. That is a huge confidence-booster.
Thing Two: Adam is doing a job for NASA so he's local. He'll be home tonight.
Thing Three: I'm watching the "V" marathon on SyFy. I forgot how oddly depressing that miniseries was. The "Final Battle" sequel is coming up. Lizard baby, woo! I'll watch the re-imagined series because I'll want to see how Morena Baccharin plans on taking over Earth (I'd let her, probably), but I have to wonder how far they'll stray from the original. Will the Visitors still plan on stealing the, ah, "resources" they way they did in the '80s? Will there be a new lizard baby and a new Elizabeth?
Thing Four: Bacon is good.
Thing Five: We only had two children come for treats last night. The first was so little she was probably new to walking. She was wearing a pink bunny suit. I gave her some Welch's Fruit Snacks rather than Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. I feel a little twitchy about giving serious sugar to such tiny humans, but that may be because I wasn't allowed sugary treats until I was much older. Adam says I should have given her peanut butter cups anyway, because it was up to the parents, which is a good point. The second was a little vampire, and she got Fruit Snacks and Reeses. She also got to pet Luna, who came to the door out of curiosity.
Thing Six: New York City bagels. With lox. Yes.
