Sunday Stuff
Jan. 24th, 2010 06:15 pmI've been working on an Excel sheet for Adam's 2009 work expense receipts and have completely lost track of time. The sun went down and I didn't notice. I'm taking a break for a bit.
I made fantastic coffee earlier. Last week, Adam, Charlotte and I went to Bed, Bath And Beyond so Charlotte could pick out a new showerhead for her birthday. Adam bought a coffee press to go along with our percolator. I adore coffee presses. The coffee I made in it this morning was like the darkest, deepest bittersweet spicy chocolate ever. I added chocolate Ovaltine, honey powder, heaps of cinnamon, and organic half-and-half, and then a splash of acai juice. It is my ultimate luxury mocha.
I don't know why, but reading recirculating rumors about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt breaking up always makes me laugh so hard that I feel better no matter what. Tabloids have been trying to get them to split for over four years. It's just hilarious entertainment. Pitt and Jolie are among the very few celebrities I actually care about enough to read about, so I read sources that don't spread rumors. I loathe tabloids anyway, but I loathe them even more when they won't let overdone rumors die. I also feel that some people are just spiteful and cannot see past a personal judgment or grudge, like those who still want to think that Jolie "stole" Pitt, even after Pitt himself confirmed that there was no stealing, no affair, no cheating, none of that. It's amazing how invested we can become in the lives of strangers. Yes, celebrities are public and somewhat ubiquitous, but that does not mean that we should speculate on every tiny little aspect of their personal lives.
