Two very good days
Jul. 21st, 2010 08:56 pmYesterday and today were examples of an Almost Perfect Day.
Adam had both days off, and planned to make shepherd's pie.
We went and got our best friends, Beca and James, since they were having car issues.
Pie was consumed, and then the boys went night fishing.
Beca and I stayed up chatting until two in the morning. Beca told me stories about her adventures in Italy and New York City several years ago, and I was laughing so hard I think I may have exploded something in my brain, in a good way. My very best friend is very funny. We talked and talked, and we told each other how much we admired and loved each other, and ran around in nothing but panties and complimented each other's bodies, and listened to Cruxshadows and Asbury Heights on YouTube.
Around two in the morning, my dose of Flexeril finally got past the muscle tension and began making me sleepy. Beca prepared to watch the horror movie channel while I went to bed. Adam and James came home just before five.
We all woke up around eleven and had breakfast: Sliced pieces of a Taylor pork roll and Adam's homemade icebox cake.
We ran errands: The AT&T store, Penzeys Spices, World Market, Roots, Bark. I bought acai drinks, and natural premium kibble for the cats, and a catnip ball that the cats could eat. Beca and I walked around together and chatted, and I just basked in her presence, as it was all I wanted. My gods, I adore that woman.
After dropping James and Beca off at their house, Adam and I returned home and spent quality time together.
Nothing is every truly perfect for me, so I always say things are almost perfect.
My skin is very dry and will soon be drenched in antioxidant oils and creams.
