Sexualization and... Harry Potter?

Emma Watson is already beautiful ... and still a teenager. I want to find the people who keep altering photos and posters of her and smack them in the heads with a Clue By Four.

Hmm, I'd like to borrow that clue-by-4 and beat all the mass-media with it.

I heard Keira Knightley is a size 00 now, as if wearing clothes meant for a 6 year old is a good idea - someone else to whack!!!

Amd Keira keeps insisting (vehemently) that she does not have an eating disorder. While I'd be prepared to believe her, I know what anorexia does to the sternum and rib cage area -- it literally melts away the fat padding so the bones of the sternum are clearly visible and all the ribs protrude sharply. That is what Keira looks like.

I used to wear clothing that could fit 12-year-old girls, and at one point I was able to put on a T-shirt that was made to fit a one-year-old infant. It was seen as a midriff-shirt on me.
I was so sick, though, I did not think that anything was wrong with that. I didn't believe my protruding bones (sternum, ribs, collarbone) meant an illness. I kept insisting vehemently that I ws not anorexic and I was fine. If I could have screamed it to the world, I would have.
And then I realized it was true. And I worked to overcome it and become healthier.

If Keira Knightly wants to beat everyone over the head with her "I am not anorexic" bit, she needs to prove it by gaining weight.

That is a wonderful article, thanks for sharing it.

D'Oh! I'll fix it by linking to the articles within.

I had the same problem, scary what people do with an airbrush. It enhances the features and hair very well, but I wish they'd not adjusted her body tones to make the breasts larger and the waist thinner.

I don't know how much damage edits like that make to the stars, let alone the people who see the posters.

Gah. That makes me angry. "Enhancing" Emma's breasts, while reducing Lindsay Lohan's. It seems there can be too little, as well as too much boob in a "family" movie. I really wish they'd leave the female body alone, and not imply that we constantly need to be altered to be made "normal", or appealing.
