Well, then!

As Professor Farnsworth would say, "Good news, everyone!"
I won't have to pay anything. It'll be on workman's comp after all. Edit: If the claim is approved, I was just told. *crosses fingers*
Today just happens to be when office is holding the annual Benefits Fair, and two of the Human Resources managers are here. They were informed about my situation, and they'll have me sit down and talk about my accident and I'll fill out a workman's comp report, later this afternoon. Details about all that afterwards, but now I feel much better.
Still stupid for walking my face into a damn wall, but hey.

It makes sense - I would also suspect they would be happy you took the ambulence - it protected them, insurance wise as well. Although granted, it was not exactly your run of the mill workplace injury!

That's a good point. They want to make sure they won't be liable. Even though the injury itself was a bit unusal for the workplace.

I'm happy to hear you are covered in that aspect.

I hope it's approved!

And don't berate yourself on walking into a wall. I trip over air molecules myself.

*wink*

Well, it's good news about the workman's comp thing...whether you walked into a wall or not, you were at work, and therefore probably distracted by work related stuff, so they should take that into account.

Here's to hoping for an approved claim, then!
