New Bed

The bed was delivered and set up just before ten. Adam and I then went to Costco and Bed Bath & Beyond. Bought sheets and a comforter on sale. Washing the first set of sheets now. The new bed is awesome. Coffee is now being had. Still tired. It's okay. New bed. Yay.
Rainy and tiring outside today.
Body is achy, brain is sluggish. All good.

Where did you get your mattress? I have to do mattress shopping this summer at some point, and have never done so before.

Mattress Discounters. We were going to go to several different stores and compare prices, but when we got to Mattress Discounters, the salesman gave us prices that were so reasonable, we didn't see the need to go anywhere else. It also helped that it was close to a holiday - personally, I think that one of the best times to shop for a new bed is within the two-week period before a holiday. He gave us a big discount on the bed itself, and then he threw in pillows, a mattress protector, and a new frame, all discounted, and he gave us free delivery. Personally, I think Mattress Discounters and Mattress Warehouse are the best places for a bargain, followed by RoomStore.
My husband's father used to work for all three chains at various points in his life, and they always had good prices.

Oh - and make sure you try out every kind of mattress in the store. There are usually three specific kinds: Innerspring, memory foam, and some combination. Our salesman had us test out three levels of firmness. Firm top, soft top, and pillow top. We chose the pillow top, which was the softest. The bed we chose was a combination of innerspring and foam.

I love shopping for stuff for a new mattress! micaturtle and I got a Tempur-Pedic a couple weeks ago and it's wonderful!

I hope you are able to get some relief from your pain with this new mattress. So far mine has helped me sleep better at night, but it didn't have quite the effect I'd hoped for my pain.

I hold no expectations for pain relief, just a better sleep, anyway! I never believe mattress ads that claim to eliminate pain. :)
