You know, I never understood why people would get upset or angry when they read a book that has some similarities to the author's life. That's what fiction does, guys. The writer writes things based on his/her emotions, experiences, thoughts, and beliefs. It's... that's how it usually happens.
I want to read a story by a writer that has absolutely no basis whatsoever in what the writer thinks, feels, experiences or believes.

Speaking of that: I went all the way back to the first chapter in the book and I read over that one dream sequence I based on my own dream sequence back then. I decided to keep it. It was a nice dream, after all.

Notes to self:
Chobani vanilla yogurt works really really well to flavor coffee.
Sugar scrubs really do make a huge difference in makeup application.
Fish oil is awesome.
Oregano oil is awesome.
Triphala is awesome.
Ashwagandha is awesome.
Astaxanthin is awesome
Resveratrol is awesome.
Edible sea buckthorn oil is delicious.

Well, Lolita is one of those, I'm pretty sure. Probably anything with an unreliable narrator is going to be the opposite of what an author truly thinks or feels, because how could they write what they really felt and present it as a possible lie?

That is an excellent point, and it gives me something to think about. I have a feeling that people might argue the opposite, that Nabokov really did harbor such desires deep down the same as his narrator... but I wouldn't know, I've never met Nabokov.

It might just be a point, not a good one. I'm pretty high.

Dude, high five. I've come up with some weird and fantastic points while high.

My own experiences definitely feed into my writing and there is no way I can deny that my beliefs and opinions feed into it either. That's just how I am~

The heroine of the Current Super Secret Project bears considerable resemblance to the me down the other leg of the Trousers of Time, the one where I never came back to the States in 2001. I am not ashamed. :-D

Sugar Scrubs *are* awesome!

Mine is one I made myself, but I just combined table sugar with neem oil. Every time I use it I think to myself "I'm rockin' the oil cleansing method, kicking it up a notch!"
Silly, but it's also a nice morning affirmation-type thing. ;)
