Anticipatory Friday

I had cheesecake for breakfast. Because I am an adult and I can do such things.

Our best friends came over last night, and we watched "Blood: The Last Vampire" on Netflix, watched the latest Futurama episode on Comedy Central, and ate cheesecake. Bedtime was early as Adam had to go to work early this morning.

Today will be a full house day. Good friends and good food and etcetera. I love how my closest friends are completely happy to sit around and talk and play with the cats with television in the background.

The body is being unpleasant. Morbo is yelling and acting like fibromyalgia. I am soothing it with various Things That Work: Turmeric, Vitamin D, Magnesium, Fish Oil, MSM, Coffee, Flexeril. Minor things: I have mosquito bites on my lower back, an inflamed right ring finger, sciatic nerves flaring down both legs, and bruises on my legs. Meh.

Novel progress: Writerbrain is letting up on character angst. I may not cause extensive damage after all.

I hate mosquito bites. I can't step outside at night without becoming dinner. Most of the time, I can ignore the bites when I get them and then they are gone within an hour or so. But the other day I got a few on my left hand and the itched like crazy. I could barely keep from scratching them!

I like friends who are content to just sit around and talk as well. There's no better way to get to know someone better than talking, in my opinion. I enjoy doing so over coffee though~ :D
