Yay Mangosteen

Dinner was pot roast on artisan bread with a side of goat's cheese and pickles.

We had canned mangosteen for dessert. It's not like fresh mangosteen, but it's good.
Mangosteen is the only fruit that will make me close my eyes and sway joyfully when I eat it. Mangosteen has a reputation as one of the best tasting tropical fruits in the world. No kidding. I had to lean against the kitchen counter while I ate.
Thank you, H-Mart. One of these days I will find fresh mangosteen and bask in its awesomeness.
Also, mangosteen oil is amazing for skin and hair, obviously. Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory and anti-aging (no, really, seriously) and healing and nourishing and also it smells so so good.

...my learning disabilities are in full force tonight, apparently. I had to read your entry three times before I read "mangosteen" correctly. I kept seeing it as "mongoose".

...now that my eyes are screwed in straight, it sounds like your dining experience was very nice indeed!

LOL, mongoose! Now I'm wondering what mongoose would taste like. Especially from a can!
