Cats are weird

The cats are still fighting, for reasons unknown. They've had random moments of affection: This morning, as I was lying in bed stretching and being aware of my body, Jupiter came and cuddled against my right side. Seconds later, Rose came up on my left side and sat on my torso. They looked at each other, sniffed, touched noses, and then cautiously licked each other's cheeks. Jupiter went back to the foot of the bed to bathe himself, while Rose stayed and nuzzled my face and stared at me.
Unfortunately, they are still growling and hissing randomly. Rose will start it. I think, at the beginning, Jupiter yelled at her or did something physically to put her in her place. Rose didn't like that and has been holding a grudge. Jupiter seems to want to apologize and reconcile, and occasionally Rose will let him touch her. But she still seems hurt and territorial. I have a feeling it will end soon. Her hissing is softer and more half-hearted, her growls are softer, and her body language is less hostile.
Luna doesn't seem to be affected by any of this, other than being confused and possibly exasperated.

Today will be a quiet day. Chores, exercise, writing, maybe watching a movie or two on Netflix. Preparing the house for Wednesday when the disability lawyer arrives. Making sure my cats are civil toward each other. Taking a walk, because I promised myself I would walk every day no matter what the weather is like.

Weird cats

Sounds a lot like our house. Sometimes they'll be chasing each other around, hissing and spitting and yowling, then all is quiet a few minutes later and I find them curled up together on the bed.
