Well?

*looks at clock, taps foot*

So, the Apocalypse is late, I see.

All those terrified pregnant women whose due dates were 6/6/06, who had C-sections to avoid giving birth today, must feel quite stupid now. And sore.

Although I hear that some women who will give birth today to boys are so amused they want to name the kids "Damien".

Then again, it's not even noon yet.

So, to quote Mr. Burns to Smithers:
"Tell you what. We come back and everyone's slaughtered, I owe you a Coke."

Oh, and in the words of Nelson Muntz: "Ha, ha!"

yes indeed

To quote my (very dyslexic) husband Adam:

And you know what's beautifully and ironically funny? Adam almost technically meets the seven signs to be either the Second Coming of Christ or the Anti-Christ.

So, happy Your Day, babe.

Good girl

I think I'm in love with Keira Knightly.

A quote from a recent interview with Keira said:

***
The expletive-loving thespian also reveals her continued lack of self-esteem over her lithe 5-foot-8 figure (she admits she "hates" her legs). Her idea of perfection? The cleavage- and curve-heavy shapes of Scarlett Johansson and Kate Winslet.

"That kind of decadent flesh is absolutely beautiful," the sylphlike starlet says. "How sexy on a woman."

She admits she's "consciously" working on being "happy in her own skin," a process that involves a grueling regimen of carbo-loading, exercise avoidance and grape-based nightcaps.

"I'm trying to go, '[Bleep] it,' and have bowls of pasta or whatever makes me happy," explains Keira. "I haven't been to the gym since January and I'm drinking about half a bottle of wine a night. I'm not one of those people who's going to jog five miles every morning. [Bleep], you've got one life, live it."

I have discovered that the Celtic amethyst ring that I found from my college collection is quite popular. The particular shape and setting is common.
It's been working really well with the quartz crystal pendant.

Celtic Triquetra With genuine Amethyst Gemstone Ring

"Amethyst is purple quartz, and is a meditative and calming stone. It works in the emotional, spiritual, and physical planes to provide calm, balance, patience, and peace. Amethyst is also beneficial when dealing with legal problems and money issues, which can lead to prosperity and abundance.
Emotionally, amethyst can help heal personal losses and grief. Amethyst has a gently sedative energy that promotes peacefulness, happiness, and contentment. It also brings emotional stability and inner strength, and can enhance flexibility and cooperation. Amethyst can help get rid of addictions (alcohol, drugs, smoking, etc.) and compulsive behaviors of all kinds.
In the psychic and spiritual realms, amethyst is an excellent all-purpose stone that can increase spirituality and enhance intuition and psychic powers of all kinds. It does this by making a clear connection between the earth plane and other planes and worlds. Amethyst is also excellent for meditation and lucid dreaming. It is known to open one's channels to telepathy, past life regression, clairaudience, clairvoyance, and communication with angels. Amethyst also protects against psychic attacks, especially during spiritual work, and protects one from thieves, and protects travelers.
Physically, amethyst is beneficial for reducing withdrawal symptoms of all kinds, blood sugar imbalances, depression, general healing, left brain imbalances, headaches, arthritis, insomnia, nightmares, other sleep disorders, ADD/ADHD, generalized anxiety, mania, ear aches, pain relief, circulatory system issues, endocrine system problems, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, immune system deficiencies, and general healing.
Amethyst is associated with the third eye and crown chakras primarily, but can also open the heart chakra."

"The Triquetra represents the threefold nature of the Goddess as virgin, mother and crone.
It symbolizes life, death, and rebirth and the three forces of nature: earth, air, and water. The inner three circles represent the female element and fertility."

"Triquetra. This triangular Celtic knot is said to represent the three planes of existence - physical, mental and spiritual. Notice how, although the three points are clearly separate, they are interlocked together, symbolising the connection between the three planes. Like the triskele, the symbol could also be linked to the trinity of the goddess, or the Christian trinity."

Jason brought home a new kitten, a two-month-old male orange tabby named Jupiter. Jupiter was born into a litter of kittens owned by a friend of Jason's parents, a Russian waitress named Natalia. Jupiter is an amazingly calm, complacent, quiet baby. Very relaxed and friendly, definitely psychic -- he knew his name as soon as Jason randomly called it out. He is honestly the friendliest, calmest kitten I have ever seen.
Tuesday watched quietly and intently from the staircase, and then our bedroom door, but she was more curious than upset. We will see how things progress between them. That was the main concern -- how Tuesday might react, being a dominant alpha female. But we feel that because this one is young and male, there shouldn't be too much of a problem. Puff already knows her place anyway, and Jupiter seems to be the type of cat who would not mind being a subordinate to a stronger female.
Jupiter will stay exclusively in Jason's room for as long as possible, until Tuesday is ready to meet him. Jason will take responsibility for all vet check-ups, shots, fixings, food, litter, and toys. This is his baby, after all. But Jupiter will also be our new baby. I'm a kitty auntie now.

The entire house feels... lighter now, calmer, more serene. I believe Jupiter is a familiar. I think he will bring peace and luck to the house.

We'll try to get pictures soon. He really is beautiful.
