Welcome, Jupiter

Jason brought home a new kitten, a two-month-old male orange tabby named Jupiter. Jupiter was born into a litter of kittens owned by a friend of Jason's parents, a Russian waitress named Natalia. Jupiter is an amazingly calm, complacent, quiet baby. Very relaxed and friendly, definitely psychic -- he knew his name as soon as Jason randomly called it out. He is honestly the friendliest, calmest kitten I have ever seen.
Tuesday watched quietly and intently from the staircase, and then our bedroom door, but she was more curious than upset. We will see how things progress between them. That was the main concern -- how Tuesday might react, being a dominant alpha female. But we feel that because this one is young and male, there shouldn't be too much of a problem. Puff already knows her place anyway, and Jupiter seems to be the type of cat who would not mind being a subordinate to a stronger female.
Jupiter will stay exclusively in Jason's room for as long as possible, until Tuesday is ready to meet him. Jason will take responsibility for all vet check-ups, shots, fixings, food, litter, and toys. This is his baby, after all. But Jupiter will also be our new baby. I'm a kitty auntie now.
The entire house feels... lighter now, calmer, more serene. I believe Jupiter is a familiar. I think he will bring peace and luck to the house.
We'll try to get pictures soon. He really is beautiful.
