Adam's flight was delayed until midnight -- he didn't come home until four in the morning. I went to bed at nine to get a good sleep before his arrival. He was drained. Jupiter decided that it was play time and brought us a fluffy, rattling mouse for him to fetch. He loves playing fetch. He tired quickly and curled up with Luna near our feet. Adam and I talked for a while about random things. We fell asleep curled around each other until the alarm went off for me at seven. When I left, he had cocooned himself among the blankets in the exact center of the bed. He looked like an exhausted cherub.

The gustatory rhinitis is in rare form this morning. Between breakfast (a banana and a vanilla latte), the sunlight, the book dust, the newspaper ink, and the dry office air, I've been sneezing forcefully since I got to work. It's made my throat sore and it's made my fibro tender points flare up. It'll pass, though. Always does. I just took my CoQ10 pill for the day, which will help.

Oh, hey, I finished Chapter 23. Like, actually finished it. Got annoyed with the crawling progress, realized the page count was fine, slapped on some new dialogue to transition into the next chapter, and done.
I have no idea how many chapters are left.
Oh, and another author from that writing group wants to see Chapter Two (John Bagnato).

Some people exaggerate frequently about big important things. I know one such person. She does it so often it is almost like breathing for her.
She wouldn't have exaggerated about this, though. She couldn't have. Not when it brought me so much joy.

I am currently corresponding with one of the authors in the group, but it's likely that the one author who I'd assumed had read my chapter may have not even read it yet. I'll find out shortly, once that particular email is answered. If that is true, I'll actually be okay with it. I'll feel horribly foolish for getting so excited, but, well, my foot is still in the door.

Mr. Bagnato's praise, word for word: "It is a very upscale piece: sophisticated, runs silky smooth, warm, yet with conflict and believable from the initial impact... an achievement, in my eyes, for an abstruse sci-fi piece."

That's what matters right now.
