Chapter 25: Done

I can has ice cream!

Chapter Twenty-Five is finished. I wrote the last two pages while the electricians were putting in the new electrical box and whole house surge protector. Adam's boss paid for it all on barter, since he owes Adam money anyway. There is more money to be owed, which Adam will most likely ask for on barter for other projects.

Once we had electricity back, I saved the novel's file to my Gmail account and had avocado sushi for breakfast. Tomorrow, someone will come from Comcast will come to replace our modem, which has been erratic. We haven't had phone service for a couple of days, which means if you have tried to call us and got no answer, this is why.
Later today, Adam and I will go to Brusters, and then to Charlotte's to watch the series finale of "Avatar: The Last Airbender." I've read reviews and spoilers, which may or may not be accurate. I'm still very excited. I adore that show.

Rose and Luna are now playmates. Luna is a bit rough and tumble, and Rose seems perfectly happy with that. Luna still won't groom or cuddle the kitten, but Jupiter loves her, so all is right with our world in that regard. I suspect that soon enough, Luna will take Rose under her wing.

Fighting currents

Of course, one of the biggest irritations of temporal lobe epilepsy is the tendency for the seizure threshold to still be dismally low for several days after the initial episode. I am still fighting against continuous auras, which has been hitting in small waves. Compare it to standing in the ocean up to your chest, while gentle currents flow against you and you struggle to stay grounded, so you do not float away, so you do not drown.
Trying to not drown in my own brain chemistry can be tiring.

The fantastic news: Tonight's dose of Soma has given me an extraordinary amount of mental, physical, and emotional energy. I barely register any pain or soreness or achiness or tension, and I am bouncy. Bouncy. Loquacious, enthusiastic, bright-eyed. I honestly cannot remember the last time really I felt like that. I feel free. I know it will end soon, but I'm reveling in it now, relishing.

We watched the last episodes of "Avatar: The Last Airbender" at Charlotte and Billy's house. Gods, I loved it. Aang is one of my favorite fictional characters ever.
