Body things
May. 3rd, 2009 04:33 pmI was reading random entertainment news, and some message boards are exploding over how waif model Kate Moss needs to wear a bra for the first time ever, at age thirty-five, due to weight gain. And some of these responses had me literally rolling back against the couch laughing so hard I was in tears. All of a sudden a very thin woman gains some weight and starts wearing bras and it is the end of the world or somesuch. Hahahahaha. Oh my.
Adam had bought an Iron Gym (multifunctional exercise bar) a couple of months ago. It normally stays in the doorway of the den, and often Adam performs tricky, acrobatic pull-up moves designed to show off. Eventually I will get there. My arm muscles are so weak that I can barely pull myself up once. It is my own fault. I need to start with push-ups on the floor using the product. At this point I no longer care much about losing those fifteen pounds of excess fat, only about gaining strength and muscle tone. Gradually, I will go to Charlotte's house and use their Bowflex, when I am strong enough.
Adam is working at the Willard hotel in DC today; we at least had yesterday together. We will have a full weekend together soon enough. The paychecks he brings home make it worth the time apart.
I've put a Cornish game hen in the oven, doused with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and taco seasoning. Adam should be home by the end of cooking time.
