Oh Rain

A driver for Metro Access picked me up this morning and drove me to my eligibility assessment site in Bethesda. I've already been approved for a year of disability eligibility under Metro Access, and the physical therapy exam was more of a formality and a chance to get a new head shot for my renewed ID card. The heavy rain made my limp worse, which the therapist noted. Her gaze kept moving to my left arm, which had curled in the classic spastic pose of cerebral palsy. In two weeks, I will get an envelope in the mail that will contain my new ID card.

Adam had the day off, and he picked me up from the Metro so we could go to Safeway and buy bread for the steak and cheese sandwiches, as well as future roast beef sandwiches. I am PMSing and my cravings for red meat are through the roof. I have realized that my red meat consumption in general has dropped drastically, so having meat twice a week during ovulation and menstruation seems the norm now.

Neighborhoods have exploded in lush green and bright colors. The air is perfumed.

Vicki's present to me came today: My custom Harmony body spray (Lotus, Rose, Neroli, Chamomile, Frankincense), along with a bottle of Gaia Facial Oil and a lip balm. Thank you, dear Vicki. The spray is fantastic. My eyes actually rolled up in bliss. Adam commented on it as well; it reminded him of gardenia, which he loves.

Rose and Jupiter are being extremely playful. It is adorable.
