I have been seeing several posts on my friends list about makeup, the wearing of, and why it is so. Many females of the makeup-wearing persuasion on my friends list either detest foundation and concealer or just don't feel comfortable wearing it, so they wear everything but.
Me, I need concealer. I can't imagine not wearing foundation or concealer. I cannot fathom applying eye makeup without a base. Some days I apply concealer even when I don't leave the house, because it makes me happy, because it covers up what I feel are scarred red bits of face that continue to be red and scarred no matter how well I treat my skin. And I am blatantly vain about my skin to obsessive-compulsive levels.
Currently my products of choice are: Cory Cosmetics Cream To Powder Concealer (which contains sea buckthorn and tamanu oils), Cory Cosmetics Herbal Liquid Mineral Foundation (which contains a botanical salad of healing oils), Fresh Umbrian Clay Absolute Concealer (which contains fuller's earth), and MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation (which contains shea butter, hyaluronic acid, and tamarind extract).
I am sure y'all were thrilled to read that. Eh. I am tired and sore. Long day. Long drive to Delaware.
In related news, Adam had to set up a job in Wilmington, Delaware. I was able to go with him. His next job is in the morning, in Dover, so now we are in a Red Roof Inn in Dover. And then we shall travel on to Princeton, New Jersey, for yet another job. Then home. Because I have a multi-compartment Stone Mountain purse, I've brought everything I need: lotion, balm, toner, makeup, tissues, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpowder. Everything except the mini facial cleanser, which I use as shampoo sometimes. Next time I will remember.
Also, this is fascinating. But I kind of figured it out already.

Also, having a fibromyalgia flare-up halfway from Maryland to Delaware -- while riding in an old rumbling van -- is not recommended. At all. Ever. No.
