Paint and Enhance
Jul. 5th, 2011 09:50 pmPlaying with cosmetics again, both organic and commercial. I keep myself busy and focused that way. It's fun. I wear eyeliner and eyeshadow and mascara. Full-coverage foundation and concealer. Deep lipcolor.
Brands like Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques, 100 Percent Pure, Fresh Umbrian Clay, Too Faced, Smashbox, Dior Nude, Cover FX, Lancome, Honeybee Gardens, Revlon, CoverGirl, Physician's Formula, BareMinerals, Laura Mercier, MAC, Mineral Fusion Cosmetics. I've learned to buy products on sale or discounted. I've learned to make what I have last as much as possible, particularly the costly products. They're mostly selling the brands and packaging, although the products are good.
In my current usericon, I'm wearing Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques Cream Foundation in Warm 2, CoverGirl Lip Perfection Lipstick in Burn, Mineral Fusion eyeshadow in Flash, and Lancome Definicils Precious Cells Mascara in Black. Good stuff.
My bare skin without makeup looks wonderful these days. Most of the redness and blemishes have disappeared thanks to the extraordinary skin care. I'm very happy. I'm learning to really use makeup to enhance the canvas of my face rather than covering it.
I developed a low fever last night and slept as much as possible. It's amazing how cool the central A/C makes the house, even upstairs. I've set the thermostat at an even 74 degrees F, but I'm so cold that I'm wearing long sleeves and a blanket.
I've decided that the next time I post to a forum or community about chronic pain, specifically my personal conditions, I will politely back away from or ignore most comments that do nothing but try to convince me that they know what is best for me and what is happening to me. I have my reasons for being in those forums in the first place, but I'm learning to moderate my own reactions and actions. It feels good.
