Skin and Within
Jul. 26th, 2011 09:11 pmAdam got today off, since the rest of the week will be very busy for him at work. Tomorrow he will spend all day in Philadelphia and come home that night, and then who knows.
The day was good. Errands were run and he treated me. At Rugged Warehouse, I got new tank tops. At Bed Bath And Beyond, he bought a new coffee press to replace the broken one, the Unbreakable press that broke its own press, although the carafe itself was indeed unbreakable. At a nearby gas station, I found bottles of Bai Coffeeberry juice for two dollars each. At CVS, Adam paid for the new asthma inhaler that we'll both use. The new dollar store next to the CVS, down the street, is awesome and they take suggestions for products. At Harbor Freight, Adam bought a wheeled tool bag, and when we got home we spent some time transferring things from his broken-hinged tool box to the bag.
Also, espresso was made for breakfast, since we couldn't press. Naturally, I doctored mine with superfruit cocoa powder and honey powder. Also, mini croissants wrapped in eggs were eaten. I fried Taylor Pork rolls -- which we call Meat Men, formerly Meat Pac-men -- while Adam cooked up scrambled eggs and placed two small croissants into the eggs, kind of like a croissant omelet. They were amazing.
Dinner consisted of lo mein with spices and vegetables. The packaged lo mein noodles at H-Mart are delicious.
One of my Etsy friends is making a Coffee Cherry skin cream that was partially inspired by me and a conversation I had with her. The cream will contain all my favorites (sea buckthorn, pomegranate, acai, goji, mangosteen, noni, camu camu, tamanu, argan, helichrysum) plus at least a one percent dose of coffee cherry fruit extract. Super ORAC levels are through the roof. I'm very excited.
I'd love to say I'm not in pain. But my wrists are throbbing, my back is stiff, my shoulders ache, the sciatica is flaring mildly, and my skin is so dry that it just drinks up oils and creams and continues to itch. I've taken pills and applied stronger skin treatments. It will be better soon. Always is. Etcetera.
