Heroes String Theory episode review

Now that I have had time to think, a review of last night's Heroes episode:
I have decided that were the world to end right now, I would want future Peter and future Hiro with me. Wow. Also, the twist about alternate-reality Nathan was one I just did not see coming, although I probably should have. We know for a fact that it isn't Sylar who explodes, and in this alternate future Sylar would mostly likely kill Candice and take her shape-shifting power. Still, I had my hand clapped to my mouth when Nathan became Sylar -- and then killed Claire! Matt Parkman was ruthless -- I liked it! Let's see... Niki was oddly compelling, and the fact that she was dating Peter -- the brother of the man she slept with for money -- was priceless. The last few moments, when future Hiro was killed, and regular Hiro and Ando were struggling to get back to the past? I was actually holding my breath. I knew everything would be fine and this was only an alternate reality, but still. Yow. Oh -- and you know that there will be a zillion homoerotic slash fanfics featuring Hiro and Ando now. Hiro becoming dark and depressed after Ando died? Hiro wanting to change the world to save Ando from dying? That hug at the end? The writers just walked into that.
Anyone want to add anything?

Date: 2007-05-01 01:35 pm (UTC)Although I've read that Sylar is definitely going to die. It's on spoilerfix.com -- however they don't say when it will happen, because he will be around in the second season.

Date: 2007-05-01 02:23 pm (UTC)I went back and watched .07% with my husband (Who had not seen it yet) and I saw all sorts of hidden things.
It's interesting to see how things played out, and how one thing can change, and make the rest totally different.
I think killing skylar is still an important thing to do, because in the future, FHiro had not done it. If, in the real time, Hiro does kill him, things may change for the good.
As for peter expoding... we know it's when he encounters Ted. Now, if he encounters Ted in the middle of no where... no harm done. We still don't know how far away one needs to be in order for Peter to gain the ability.
Also, does that ability need to be shown?
Did Peter pick up all of Sylar's abilities?

Date: 2007-05-01 02:47 pm (UTC)I know Sylar will die, but I don't know if it will be by Hiro. Sylar will be in Season Two as a regular. But regardless of when he does die, I wonder how much the future will change, since he doesn't explode? Then again -- oooh, new theory -- if Peter does explode, would there be a way to create a telekinetic force field containing the blast?
