Saturday alone together

brightlotusmoonDanny and Jason went to work, and Adam and I woke up at noon. Went to Petco with my gift cards. We bought cat litter on sale, a huge bag of food to put in Jason's room for Jupiter, and a new litter box on sale, since the sifter box upstairs was starting to break and annoy me. We got a Booda Loo litter box, which has these neat charcoal filters and comes with a liner. I picked the purple color. I also got a new litter mat to keep the area around the box clean.
We went grocery shopping at the international market and got dinner: Eggplant and shiitake mushrooms with beef broth, garlic, sesame seeds, and spices.
Yesterday, Danny took us to see the townhouse he just rented with Lucy and Dan. Lucy and Dan rented it from a nice, wealthy young couple, and decided that the only roommate they wanted was Danny. They'll start moving in probably this month. The townhouse is very big, with a gigantic basement. There's a bedroom in the basement will be Danny's, and the larger of the three rooms upstairs will be Dan's and Lucy's (it's one of the biggest bedrooms I've ever seen; with its own bathroom). Dan has his own bathroom as well, and there are two other bathrooms. And a fireplace, a huge kitchen, a living room, a dining room, and an outside patio deck. It's a short drive from our house, and Adam and I will be welcome there any time. I'm very envious of the house. But I do still love mine.
Billy wound up getting a 1986 Ford Bronco for $400. One of the clients of his construction company sold his old truck to Billy's boss, and the boss in turn sold it to Billy. So, hurray, Billy has a vehicle again.
Adam and I will spend the weekend doing lovey couple things. He'll probably be going to Chicago next week anyway.
