Kitten, water, weather, etc.

This morning, I turned on the news to find that a water main had broken in the area. Interestingly enough, my house was not affected; I even called the water company to check. Still, I'll want to reduce water usage for a couple of days.
Speaking of water, the sky poured buckets of it this afternoon. It was fascinating.
Adam and I took Rose to the vet this evening, because it looked like she had developed conjunctivitis in her left eye. The vet agreed; it was bacterial. He treated her, gave us an antibiotic ointment, and gave her a distemper shot and deworming goop while he was at it. Rose will need to go back next month and then a month after that for the rest of her shots. But beyond the eye, she is perfectly healthy. The mother does not have feline HIV; Kathy's unsure about the father. But I'm certain that Rose and her siblings are fine. The vet also called Rose a "cream tabby."
All three cats were in the kitchen eating. I had given Luna and Jupiter each a bowl of canned food. Rose ate some dry food. They were all within inches of each other. Nobody growled or even got annoyed. Jupiter even touched his nose to Rose's nose. I think this will be a good thing. I called Kathy to give her an update. She is very pleased. She said that if things wind up just not working out, I can bring Rose back. And she even offered to be a back-up driver should I need someone to take me to Rose's future vet appointments if Adam isn't around.
Right now, Luna and Rose are hanging around on the big kitty tree. I think Luna wants to play.
