So, yeah. A song lyric describes my morning beautifully.
My boss actually called to make sure I was doing okay. I'd called my doctor's office, but they were so booked they couldn't even take a same day appointment. But I did speak to a very sweet, concerned nurse. She estimated that I might have a mild concussion (Grade 2). She said I probably could just take care of myself at home, and if I really started feeling awful, call back to see if they have a spot open later this afternoon. She also said that my seizure threshold has lowered, and if I do have a seizure, to monitor my post-ictal behavior and see if I can get a friend to come over and make sure I'm all right. I may already have seized. My memory's a little fuzzy. I certainly feel like I've had a complex partial.

I'll be fine; I doubt I'll need to call the doctor's office. Nice that they care like that to give me detailed advice, though.

I hope you feel better soon! Did the water pressure put more force behind the shower head when it ejected, or did it just fall? My biggest fear is that the shower head is going to shoot off and go through my head. :(

I'm guessing that it was the water pressure. It happened again today, but luckily I ducked out of the water. When I turned off the hot then cold faucets, I felt things sort of shiver and jump, so I;m guessing it's pressure.

Oh Dear.... you think it's from the dumb shower head falling on your head? Well, I would certainly be upset about that... and will reconsider buying THAT one! I hope you're feeling better by now..!

I think the shower head is okay as far as design goes. I think the water pressure made it shiver and jump, if that makes sense. It's probably also because I am very short and probably don't put it back on the hook properly!

OMG feel better hon! a concussion is a big deal, duh. kinda annoyed that the nurse, as kind as she was with her hands tied, encouraged you to stay home. she probably couldn't magically produce an appointment for that day, but still i feel like it should be followed up by a professional. or even going to the er if you still have problems. sometimes changes happen over time with concussions, days or weeks even.

hang in there, sorry you gotta deal with this, and hope you can get the care you need. hope your seizure activity simmers down asap. i wonder how long your threshold is lowered after your accident?

Well, she was kinda right. I wasn't hurt badly enough to go to the doctor's immediately, and basically everyone I talked to so far told me I should stay home in case things get worse. Things haven't gotten worse so far, so I'd really just feel like a waste of time in the doctor's office!

I had a dream about you last night (I think it's because I replied to one of your entries right before I went to bed). I dreamt that we both lived in this apartment high rise and we were taking the elevator to our apartments. You were naked like you had just got out of the shower or something. You were dripping wet and holding a towel in front of you. You got into the elevator first and then I got in and we were both standing there with all of these black-suited business people who didn't seem to notice the fact that you had no clothes on. In fact, you didn't seem to care either. I didn't really care, but I was suprised that no one was commenting on it. When we got to the top floor we got off the elevator and you asked me to come to your place and eat glazed doughnuts. I said, sure, even though I had never been to your place before. So we went to your place, watched TV and ate doughnuts...some how during all of this you had gotten dress. And that was the end of the dream. Now I have a doughnut craving!

Wow. I'd love to find someone who could analyze and interpret that! But I think that it means you're very comfortable with me and feel that I am comfortable with you: Me being naked, even with a towel (vulnerable and open), and then casually inviting you to my house to eat comfort junk food when you've never been (casual and comforting)... plus other people in your dream probably representing parts of you, not noticing the naked person... I think those are all signs that if you and I meet in person, we'd probably be like old friends.

my grandfather had a showerhead shoot off and hit him in the head at a hilton hotel, years and years ago. it fucked him up pretty seriously.
if you're having issues, just don't hang it back up. turn the water off and drop it. it doesn't hurt them to hang in the tub. just remember to hold it when you turn the water on or you will be mopping up the bathroom for awhile!
