Meh

I'm back at work, to the surprise of my managers. I've been told that if I absolutely need to leave, I can. I probably won't. I'll be fine. Arnica last night (caplets and topical oil) and Advil today.

I am also feeling like the biggest moron, because I took an ambulance ride when it wasn't a dire emergency. Yes, everyone said it was probably a good idea because we had no idea how bad the damage was, but still. Grah. You know, Adam had been working four blocks from the hospital. He could have come to my building and picked me up and driven me. I would have probably waited an hour or three in the waiting room, but it would have saved me lots of money.
I promised myself I wouldn't cringe when I get the eventual bill. I just hope and hope they'll let me make monthly payments. I think they will. I admit, I'm clueless.

The wall, in the meantime, shall go unpunished. I don't have it in me. It's such a nice wall, after all. White and glowy. And it supports books, which I love.

I would say something more meaningful, but my brain still feels shaken up. That's all for now.

Well, then!

As Professor Farnsworth would say, "Good news, everyone!"
I won't have to pay anything. It'll be on workman's comp after all. Edit: If the claim is approved, I was just told. *crosses fingers*
Today just happens to be when office is holding the annual Benefits Fair, and two of the Human Resources managers are here. They were informed about my situation, and they'll have me sit down and talk about my accident and I'll fill out a workman's comp report, later this afternoon. Details about all that afterwards, but now I feel much better.
Still stupid for walking my face into a damn wall, but hey.

I went to the office benefits fair, mainly because I could get a free mini massage, a free cholesterol screening, and a free body fat analysis. The respective results: the knots in my shoulders are gone, my cholesterol is so good and healthy that the nurse drew a smiley face next to the numbers, and my body fat percentage is "good and healthy."
I also met privately with Mimi, one of the HR managers. She was very sweet and compassionate. She interviewed me about my accident and injury. It'll take a few days for the report to go through, of course, but she assures me that the company is really good about accepting claims, and that means everything would be paid for. She'll keep in touch with me until we know for sure.

Almost time to go home. It's already starting to get dark. Sigh.
