Okay, I may have to write a happy surprised email to whoever makes that D30 orange bouncy stuff for cell phone cases. I had one of the D3O covers on my Galaxy S 3 while walking around White Flint and I dropped my phone from almost five feet up. It bounced on the concrete twice. It was completely fine, no problems at all. It actually bounced. On concrete. Crazy. Slightly unsettling.

I put Amazon Kindle on this phone and downloaded the books from my Kindle For PC. I'm doomed. I'll need a stronger battery for this thing; I've already set all the battery power saving settings I could think of.
Oh, Samsung Galaxy, you know my weaknesses well.
Also, I got a refurbished Samsung Galaxy S 3 smartphone at the start of January. It's white. AT&T gave me an early upgrade. Did I mention I got the phone? I don't remember.
I've been saying for years that I don't want a Kindle or Nook, and mostly it was because I didn't want to cram it in my purse. But this phone is a phone too and stays in the front section of the purse, whichever purse it is at any time, and reading is fun and good, and I'm fine with that. I'll never give up actual paper books. But I'm much better about ereader tablets than I was.

Also, migraine and fibromyalgia and spastic hypertonia like crazy and Raynaud's flares and knee problems and everything still hurts and mutter grumble mutter. But I have my box of Petite Ecolier chocolate biscuits and my Brookside Dark Chocolate Acai Blueberry Pieces and it is all good. And also Charlotte came over for the afternoon and brought sandwiches and Munchos chips, and that is all good. And I have my shelled pistachios and I have my yogurt smoothies and my sea buckthorn juice and really all is well.

So many books to read, still. Piles. Physical and digital. And to write. All these Stories. Stories galloping across my writerbrain until I grab a few bits here and there, and some of those bits get transferred to the Novel because they fit well.

I'm so tired and wrung out, but thank Apollo and Gaia that it doesn't go as deeply as it could. Argh, disabilities, etc.

Last night I dreamed of a library, my Library, the one that exists in multiple story worlds in the Storyland Multiverse. I was many librarians at once, I was so full of magic and power and Knowledge that I was brimming with light and energy. And today, I had a fantastic FB discussion that made the dream feel real in some ways...
I am the most disorganized, disorderly, random, crazy, wild home librarian you might meet; but that is part of my charm and my irritation. I have ways and secrets and methods that will make you exhausted and thrilled simultaneously.

Today's therapy session went quite well. Charlotte and I met up after, and divided up our loot from our Whole Foods trip earlier. I now have several cups of Liberte yogurt, some energy shots with yerba mate, superfruit juice, and a cupcake.

When I came home, my favorite mailman, Jonathan, arrived with all my mail, as he always does when we have packages. One of those packages was my new LG Phoenix phone. Setting it up was easy and wonderful, but I wound up being slightly disappointed that none of my music files could be set as ringtones due to size. I hadn't had that issue with the Pixi. Ah, well. The Phoenix's default ringtones are just fine. The tune Timeless is lovely.

Also in the mail was my insurance card from CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield via MHIP. Oh, joy of joys! Real health insurance again.

I've been watching the new SyFy miniseries, "Neverland." It is adorable and fascinating, but mostly in the details.

Good things:

I am having giddy fun with the Pixi phone (which I have named Nymph, just because). My music list is full of songs by Deep Forest, Enigma, Tangerine Dream, ES Posthumus, Dead Can Dance, and Robert Miles, as well as two songs by The Waterboys, as well as the explosive violin rock song "Explosive" by Bond. "Explosive is my current ringtone.

Adam will be home after midnight. He will be bringing bagels and cake. He will also have tomorrow and Saturday off, so he can prepare for his next job in New Mexico.

Rose demanded to be picked up and cuddled so often that I found it hard to get anything done. Especially eat. She jumped in my lap during dinner. She was lucky it was a salad and not anything messy.

My migraine is gone. To reiterate: My migraine is gone. It finally faded this afternoon. I did a little dance.

Not So Good things:

I am in a fibromyaglia flare.
I had a Raynaud's flare earlier.
I am having a minor sciatica flare.
My muscles all over are spasming again.

But all of it is nothing, because at least my head isn't pounding anymore.

Well. Better.

After Adam left for work, I lay in bed and drifted off to the sound of rain. When I woke up several hours later, the rain had stopped.

My head was still hurting. I took a codeine pill, and it helped enough for me to get things done.

I took a bus to the nearest AT&T store, behind the mall. Got help with my Palm Pixi Plus, which had arrived yesterday.

Met up with Adam, and we shopped for groceries.

Dinner was fresh burritos with chicken, beans, and Colby Jack cheese.

I am still playing with the Pixi. I successfully managed to transfer three songs from my laptop to the phone, and they are now listed as ringtones. So the current ringtone is Robert Miles' "Fable." The other two are Enigma's "Return To Innocence" and ES Posthumus's "Nara." One of these days I'm going to try downloading as many Tangerine Dream songs as I can.

I imagine that the migraine will finally truly be gone within a day or two, if nothing makes it worse.

I went to cingular.com and decided to upgrade my phone. The LGC2000 camera phone was free. It came in the mail at work today. When I left work early, I stopped into a Cingular store so they could set it up for me. And now I have a new dolphin wallpaper, new ringtones (Sting's Desert Rose and Enya's Book Of Days), and three photos, blurry at best. But here.

The engagement ring

It's hard to see, but there are three diamonds inset on each side of the center diamond (which is in a white gold tube setting), with pave settings between the diamonds. The band is deep pink-gold, which means there is a high amount of copper in it.
And here's the wedding ring. On each side is a triquetra. It is made of green-gold electrum, which is an alloy made of gold, silver, copper, and zinc. The thin gold band on my other finger is my grandmother's wedding ring, passed down to my mother, then to me.
